Welcome to Integrative Biology 100 and 101
Integrative Biology 100 and 101 are general education
courses
designed to introduce you to the biology topics that are likely to be
meaningful to you during your life. The courses include an in-depth
focus on three contemporary issues in modern biology: the environment,
genetics and biotechnology, and evolution. You should learn the
biological concepts that will help you make informed decisions in the
market place, the voting booth, your doctor's office, or a school board
meeting.
Integrative Biology 100 includes a one-hour discussion
section that
meets once per week. 3 hours credit
Integrative Biology 101 includes a lab which meets for 3
hours once
per week. 4 hours credit
Students in both courses attend the same lectures, take
the same
exams and share many of the same assignments.
Credit is not given for both Integrative Biology 100 and
101.
