Extra Credit Projects
All of these projects are designed to help you understand
biological
ideas and issues presented in the class and share your new knowledge
with your classmates using your preferred style of learning
expression.

"Diver Illustration Interpretation"
Write an interpretaion and explanation of the evolutionary concepts
represented by the "diver" illustration logo on the course home page.

Extra Credit Project
"The Lorax Interpretation"
Write an interpretaion and explanation of the biological concepts
represented by Dr. Seuss' poem, The Lorax.
* Only one bonus project per student
BioArtist - Language Arts
Write a poem, newspaper story, play, etc.
BioArtist - Visual Arts
Create a poster, computer graphic, video, etc.
Book Reviewer
Write reviews of
individual book chapters.
Media Watcher
Write reviews of
biology "articles" from websites, newspapers, magazines, TV programs or
videos.
Speech/Seminar Critical Analysis
Attend a biology or ecology seminar, do a little research, and write a
summary and critical analysis.
Tutor/Tutee
Study with a friend in the
class and earn extra credit for both of you.
Tutor/Tutee projects start AFTER the
first hour
exam.
