Completion of this assignment should help you achieve the expectations of one or more of the learner objectives of Lecture 23, Microevolution: The Forces of Evolutionary Change , Lecture 24, Microevolution: The Forces of Evolutionary Change II, Lecture 25, Macroevolution: Speciation, and Lecture 26, Macroevolution: Evidence.

Assignment:

  • Write a review (about 300 words) of a web page that addresses the evolution concept(s) of one of the lecture objectives for the evolution lectures (#23-26).

  • Provide a *substantial scientific explanation of the evolution concept.

  • The links to the left are good starting points. In Addition, you may use links listed in the lecture outlines or do your own research to find a reference that interests you.

  • Choose your links with a critical eye. You may review web sites that challenge concepts of evolution, BUT YOU MUST include a scientific explanation of the concept included in the lecture objective you have chosen.

  • Post your review to the appropriate forum in your discussion or lab instructor's section of Moodle well in advance of the due date.

  • Include a working link to the web page you used in your research for the asignment.

  • Read the fourth Moodle assignment of at least one other student from your discussion or lab section.

  • Write a *substantial response (about 150 words) and post it as a "Reply" to the other student's posting.
