Welcome to the Bohnert Lab homepage. We study the Molecular Physiology
& Engineering of Plant Stress Tolerance. Here are questions which we would like to answer.
Why can most plants not survive when exposed to severe abiotic stresses? How can we enable plants to live in a more stressful environment?
Our findings on these subjects can be found in the Research sections
of this page. People contains information on people who work in the
lab, including those currently working, former
members of the lab, and former students. Colleagues are the
scientists who are working or have been working with us, sharing information
and working on similar projects. If you are in one of Dr. Bohnert’s
classes, then Courses may be of some interest to you, containing
curriculum information and additional tidbits.
Links are our links to other pages that might be of interest to
anyone who may visit here. The Thellungiella
page outlines work (and importance) of an extremophile arabidopsis relative.
Finally, Publications list and provide in many cases,
reprints of publications by the lab.
