I earned my PhD under James H. Brown
at the University of New Mexico
(completed
spring 2007). My dissertation, "Rates of
ecosystem and community change during
succession", used a mathematical,
macroecological approach to understand
how rates of succession vary across
climates and over the course
of succession.
I am currently doing a postdoc with Marcy
Litvak at the University of New Mexico. We
are
utilizing a series of 6 eddy-covariance
towers along anelevational gradient to study
effects of
climate on ecosystem functioning.
Specifically, I am interested in differential
responses of production andrespiration
to temperature and precipitation
over short
and long timescales."
