Opportunities for Prospective Graduate Students
and Postdoctoral Scientists:

 We are currently accepting applications for positions of research assistants or associates to participate in two new projects. Qualified individuals will have opportunities to:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research on global change, long-term climatic variability, and ecological responses
  • Participate in field work on the spectacular landscapes of Alaska and British Columbia
  • Interact with a large group of students and scientists with a diverse array of expertise from multiple institutions in three countries (US, Canada, Israel)

  • Design his/her own research project within the broad scopes of the original projects.  Among others, specific topics include:

    • lake and soil biogeochemistry (short-term monitoring and long-term reconstruction)

    • fire-vegetation-climate interaction

    • abrupt climatic events and vegetational consequences

    • warm events and cyclicity/predictability of Holocene climate
