BOAST was fun last night because we pretended like we walked in space. We also put on gloves and then put our hands in water and tried to pick things up. We did that to see how it would feel out in space. We made a robot arm and picked up a piece of clay with it. I liked the moon shoes the best because it seemed like you were in space.
I liked walking in the moon shoes, the water activity and the marshmallow activity. I liked the moon shoes the best and eating astronaut food. We blew up a big chocolate covered marshmallow and then we ate it! I dug in the water with my hands and picked up a bolt and a nut and put them together.
I loved the moon shoes because they bounced high. I think I'm going to be an astronaut. I know what will happen if you go in space without the space suit on, you will burst because we did this activity with a marshmallow that showed us what would happen. The robot arm was cool too.
I liked the moon shoes best because in the moon shoes you can jump very high. I did not like the robot arm because it kept falling apart. I liked the marshmallow activity because the marshmallow got big when the air went in the jar and got small again when we let the air out of the jar.
I like the moon shoes. I liked the robot arm. I like going to BOAST because it is fun.
I had fun with the moon shoes because you can jump high. I liked the marshmallow activity. It was fun. The marshmallow got big when you pumped air in the jar and when you let the air out the marshmallow got small. I liked to make the robot arm and use it to catch the clay. I like the water activity because you can pick up tools like you would in space.
I liked the moon shoes because they are crucial! You can jump high in the moon shoes. The astronaut food was good too!
I liked when I was walking in moon shoes because when you walk it felt funny. I like when I put my hand in the water because I got to screw the nut on the bolt. When I made the robot arm, it fell apart. When Kiara pushed the red handle on the jar with the marshmallow in it, the marshmallow exploded, but when she pushed the button, it went back to its shape. That was cool!
I liked walking in the moon shoes.
When I had the moon shoes on I
could run fast, but then I fell down
and we all laughed.
We saw an airplane with the telescope we made out of pipes and glass. When we looked in the big telescope at the Observatory, we saw Jupiter.
I liked making telescopes because it was very fun. I made a telescope out of glass lenses and a pipe.
We saw Jupiter in the 12 foot
telescope at the Observatory. We
made our own telescopes out of
glass and pipe. I liked to try out
the Observatory telescope, and the
telescope I made.
To make a rocket car, I got a little piece of cardboard and one straw and two pieces of straw, and some wheels and tape. I put all the stuff on the cardboard and then I put the balloon on it and blew it up then I let it go. It started to go. What I liked about it was that it was cool and I like the way it went.
We used straws and blown up
balloons on cardboard and wheels
to make the car go. I liked that the
car went fast and that I made it
with some help.
Astronomy is the study of planets. Three planets you can study are Pluto, Saturn and Uranus.
You can make some words from the word, astronomy. I made the words no, on, my, and at.
In astronomy you learn about planets and space. There are nine planets in space.
We made these words with the letters in the word, astronomy: as, try, at ran, my, on, no, not, and Ray.
Astronomy is the study of planets and stars. The sun is a star and Mercury and Pluto are planets. Yuri Gagarin was an astronomer who studied about the planets.
In made these
words using the letters in
the word, astronomy: at,
may, as, my, storm, art,
Mars, army, man and no.
I do my math workbook and sometimes my big math book after school at the BOAST Club. I like to stay after school to learn and be smart.
I liked making pictures of the planets and writing to my friends on the computers.
We took balloons and put different things on them and measured how far each balloon went on the string. It was fun. I liked to see the balloons go away on the string.
You can drive a planetary land rover. You can push the buttons on the remote control to make it move.
The planetary land rover is made with cardboard. The batteries power it. The motors make the wheels go. The wheels spin when it moves. The paperclips are the buttons on the remote control. The tires are made with rubber bands.
I liked my
partner. My partner
helped me make my
Planetary Land Rover.
