Second grade BOAST participant, James, wrote about this picture.
Hello, my name is James. I am working on my shirt. I was making it for my mentor. Her name is Jenny and she led a BOAST science lesson this semester. Her lesson was was on temperature, humidity and precipitation. I made the shirt with markers and alcohol. I also made a bag. I drew a heart on my bag. I drew a wiggly line on the shirt. It was red, green and blue. I drew a sun on the shirt with all the colors. I made an "x" in a circle too.

Third grade BOAST participant, Kenneth, wrote about this picture.
My name is Kenneth and I am in third grade. I'm eight years old and I have two brothers and two sisters.
In the picture, I am working on my mentor's shirt. (My mentor also helped lead the science lesson on Light and Rainbows.) It says, "Willy," on it with lines. I made it with markers. On the front, I put Willy's team number, 21. The shirt I made is very colorful. It was fun making it. These are the colors I used, purple, green, red, blue, and orange too. I made three circles on the back of the shirt. One was a big one and two were little. Together the circles look like a bear's face. I wrote, "To: Willy, From: Ken" on the shirt.
