iClicker Information
We will be using iClickers in Lecture this semester. Here is a picture :iClicker picture. You can purchase your iClicker at the U of I bookstore and make sure you purchase the correct one. Several classes are using iClicker technology, so you just need to purchase one iClicker and you can use it in multiple classes that require the iClicker.
You will register your iClicker online at www.iclicker.com. Use your NetID when asked to enter your student ID.
You can earn extra credit points to be added to your IB 150 final grade by using iClicker in lecture.
Here is the breakdown of points:
1. Participation questions: 1 pt each for 25 lectures with participation questions=25 points of extra credit possible. (We will use clicker in more that 25 lectures, (approx 28-30) but will count only 25, to take into account any possible absences, or if you forgot your clicker one day.
2. Reading questions: iClicker questions in lecture based on assigned reading. Points given for correct answers only. 2 pts for each question answered correctly. We will present 16 reading questions. We will only count 15 questions for each student for 30 total possible extra credit points.
So, come to lecture with your iClicker, participate when questions are posted, and keep up with your reading, and you can earn a possible 55 points extra credit.
