• Your first pre-lecture set of questions was assigned today (Tuesday 9/26) at 12:00 PM (noon) and will be due by 12:00 PM (noon) tomorrow (9/27). These questions are based on readings from the Brooker text, which is available. This text is also on reserve in the Undergraduate Library, the Biology Library (Burrill Hall), and the MCB Learning Center.

• Textbook status:
  • as of today all three bookstores (IUB, T.I.S, and Follett) are out of The Cell text (Cooper; ISBN: 0-87893-281-X), but it will be available on Wednesday at T.I.S.
  • the Biology text (Brooker; ISBN: 0-07-806356-6) is currently available at the IUB and Follett.
• Discussion sections will not meet next week (September 1-5) due to Labor Day.

• The course web site is in the process of being updated for Fall 2008.

• Lecture begins on Monday, August 25 at 1:00 PM in 114 Smith Memorial Hall.

• Discussions begin the week of August 25 in 422 (or 308) Natural History Building.

• The staff members supporting MCB 150 are more than happy to assist students in whatever ways that we can. As a student, please remember that when you email a staff member, it's important to include all pertinent information so that we can assist you in the most efficient and effective manner possible. This information includes:
  • Name
  • NetID (the first part of your uiuc.edu email account)
  • UIN (9 digit number that you use to register for classes)
  • The course that you're concerned about (the staff members often work with multiple courses)
  • Your section letter/number
  • The previous email "thread" or previous communicated information pertinent to the situation
