Grading

There were 5 in-class assignments of 5 points each. Two were dropped, for a maximum of 15 points possible.

There were 13 homework assignments. All were required. Assignments that were late without an excuse were penalized 10%. Assignments that were very late were penalized 20-30%, depending on how late. The points per assignment were:

The grading scale is:
A > 90%
B > 80% and <= 90%
C > 70% and <= 80%
D > 60% and <= 70%

Each letter grade is divided into 3 equal inverals, with the top and bottom being + and -, respectively.
