Research in my lab addresses a variety of questions about the behavior, ecology and conservation biology of animals. Most often those animals are snakes and birds, but projects involving other taxa are definitely possible. I believe that diversity of research among my students broadens everyone's perspectives and makes the lab a more interesting place to work. Because my lab is quite full right now and thus funds mostly committed, I am not actively looking for new graduate students. Therefore, I can only consider new applicants who have a high probability of competing for their own funding (scholarships, grants). Students interested in discussing possibilities of doing graduate work with me should contact me by email (pweather@uiuc.edu).
