The genus Rubus includes blackberries, dewberries, brambles, and raspberries. The flowers of Rubus are structurally rather similar to those of strawberries, with 5 sepals, 5 petals, a very short hypanthium, many stamens, and an apocarpous gynoecium of many carpels on a cone-like receptacle.
