Advising
for
M.S. in Biology The M.S. Biology Academic Advisor is responsible for
approving, on a semester-by-semester basis, the academic course enrollment of all students
in the program. Any course changes made during the semester are subject to approval by the
Advisor.
At the end of each year, the Advisor will
assess the academic progress of each student in the program. At that time, a student
enrolled in a graduate research course (590 or 599) may be asked to
present a progress report and evaluative letter from her/his research supervisor.
The decision to take 590 or 599 credit is made in
consultation with the student's research advisor.
- 590 credit requires a written research
report.
- 599 credit requires a thesis. For more
information, see
Thesis
Office.
