We provide an integrated understanding of the physiology of multicellular organisms and knowledge and skills in recombinant DNA technology. Our faculty train students across the wide spectrum of disciplines represented in biotechnology. |

IB trains students in all aspects of the diversity of life, including the evolutionary history of plants and animals. There are excellent opportunities for students to participate in field trips and research with faculty and with affiliated organizations such as the Organization for Tropical Studies and the Illinois Natural History Survey. |
