Paul is now “retired”, but continues to be a world authority on braconid wasps in general and the subfamily Doryctinae in particular.  He currently has an NSF-funded project (DEB 0717365) with the Whitfield lab at the University of Illinois to monograph the Costa Rican species of Heterospilus, a huge doryctine genus that has never been revised.  The project will also incorporate molecular phylogenetics and online interactive identification keys, and also will involve a graduate student and postdoc starting in 2008.
